About Rebecca
Rebecca Reynolds, Acupuncturist & Certified Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) is highly educated in her field, holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University, an Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of Saint Catherine’s, and an MSN/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Catholic University.
Regarding her acupuncture qualifications, Rebecca holds a Master's Level degree in Acupuncture Certificate, along with a National Acupuncture Certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. As an L.Ac., she is licensed to practice by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
For much of Rebecca's career, she served as the sole health care provider at American embassies in Cameroon, Honduras, Sri Lanka, and El Salvador. Later, while serving as the Deputy Director of the Foreign Service Medical Provider Program, Rebecca traveled to countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central America.
Rebecca has treated everything from the common cold to tropical diseases such as dengue fever and malaria. After seeing many preventable chronic diseases first-hand, she is a strong believer in preventive integrative health care.
She has received awards from domestic and foreign governments, including the U.S. Department of State, which recognized her service with the prestigious Secretary of State's Career Achievement Award. Most recently she received an award from the US Army for her contributions to the Ft Meyer Military Community as a fitness instructor for the popular “Never Too Late” series for retirees. She has served on the boards of the Nurse Practitioner Association of DC and the Acupuncturist Society of Virginia.
